Right now, there are hundreds of men, women, and children who are homeless, hungry, and hurting in our community. Many of them are still reeling from the impact of COVID-19 resurgences and variants. All of us have been affected by the pandemic. At UCS, we remain vigilant on testing, vaccinations, masks, cleaning, and safety, but we must also maintain services to people in need. As the weather gets colder and the pandemic’s negative economic impact persists, the needs of those suffering housing, hunger, and health crises become more critical and our ability to meet those needs becomes more difficult. We need your help.

Also, save the date of 11/30/21 for Giving Tuesday and be ready to support our one-day campaign for $5,000 to replace the day shelter stove/oven and buy needed supplies for the winter. UCS serves 3 hot meals a day and we never stopped serving meals or reduced meal service during the pandemic. Look for social media and web alerts in the coming weeks.
